The bottom of the Gulf Freeway is refinery and port country: the Texas City plants along Loop 197 and SH-146, the Port of Texas City, the Port of Galveston and its cruise and cargo terminals, and the causeway that carries every truck on and off the island. We bring the 50-ton rotator and heavy wreckers down I-45 for the rollovers on the causeway approaches, the tank trucks and plant equipment in Texas City, and the buses, motorhomes and freight trucks that get into trouble on the island.
Corridors and hot spots we cover
- I-45 Gulf Freeway from League City to the Galveston causeway and Broadway
- SH-146 and Loop 197 through Texas City and La Marque
- FM 1764 (Emmett F. Lowry Expressway) and FM 519
- SH-3 and FM 2004 through La Marque and Hitchcock
- SH-6 through Santa Fe and Hitchcock
- Harborside Drive, Seawall Boulevard and the Port of Galveston and Pelican Island roads
The causeway and its approaches are the hard part of this territory: high winds, narrow shoulders and no room to stage, which means every recovery there is planned with the responding agency and executed in one controlled lift. Texas City adds tank trucks, plant equipment and contractor traffic at the refinery gates, with the permits, escorts and identification that plant work requires sent ahead of the truck.
On the island the work is tour buses and motorhomes on Seawall and Broadway, cargo and cruise-terminal traffic on Harborside, and construction equipment on the West End and Pelican Island. Storm season adds evacuation-route breakdowns and post-storm recoveries. Recovered units can go to your yard on the mainland or to our TDLR-licensed storage facility in Sugar Land.

DetailsGalveston & Texas City questions
How long does it take to reach Galveston Island?
It is a real drive from Sugar Land, and we tell you the number when you call rather than promising minutes. For emergencies on the causeway and in Texas City we roll immediately with a live ETA; for planned lifts we schedule around your window.
Can you work inside the Texas City refineries?
Yes, following each plant's access procedures. Certificates of insurance and operator identification go ahead so security does not hold up the job.
Do you recover trucks after storms and evacuations?
Yes. Post-storm recoveries on the island and along the evacuation routes are scheduled as soon as the roads reopen, with the same photo documentation and itemized invoicing as any other job.
