Rotator versus crane: how to decide
A rotator wins on setup time, mobility, and self-contained winching. It is the right tool when the load is a vehicle, a container, a machine, or anything that needs to be recovered as well as lifted. A crane wins on height and on long radius picks. When a job needs more height or reach than the rotator gives, we tell you that on the phone and help you plan the crane, or we bring the rotator in as the second unit.
Recovery work with a rotator is regulated as towing, not as construction crane operation. For lifts that fall under construction crane rules, such as setting building components or rooftop units, we will tell you what applies before we quote.
Port, plant, and yard work
We lift in and around the Port of Houston terminals, the Ship Channel industrial corridor, rail yards, and distribution centers along Beltway 8 and the Grand Parkway. Operators carry ID for terminal access and follow site permit and escort rules. Certificates of insurance are available before the truck rolls.

Is a rotator cheaper than a crane?
For vehicle, container, and machinery lifts inside the rotator's reach, it is usually less expensive because there is one truck, one crew, and no separate rigging company or ground-bearing engineering. For very high or long-radius picks a crane is the right call and we will say so.
How much notice do you need for a planned lift?
Same-day is often possible in the Houston area. For plant work with permits and escorts, a day of notice lets us line up paperwork and the right operator.
Can you lift a loaded container?
Within the rotator's rated capacity at the working radius, yes. Tell us the container weight from the bill of lading and how far the pick is, and we will confirm.
