Pearland sits on the truck route between Houston and the petrochemical complex at Freeport, and State Highway 288 carries the tank trucks, flatbeds and lowboys to prove it. Our 50-ton rotator and heavy wreckers reach Pearland from Sugar Land by way of Highway 6 and Beltway 8, which puts us on the 288 shoulder or a Brazoria County farm road faster than most of the heavy companies that list Pearland on their websites.

Corridors and hot spots we cover

  • SH-288 South Freeway and the 288 toll lanes from the Medical Center to Manvel
  • Beltway 8 / Sam Houston Tollway south leg
  • FM 518 (Broadway) and Pearland Parkway
  • FM 2234 and Shadow Creek Parkway
  • SH-35 through Pearland to Alvin
  • SH-6 and FM 521 toward Arcola and Fresno
  • SH-288 south through Manvel, Rosharon and Angleton to Freeport

The SH-288 corridor is a two-way freight lane: chemicals and resins coming up from Dow, BASF and the Port Freeport terminals, and construction and consumer freight heading south into one of the fastest-growing parts of Brazoria County. Trouble concentrates at the Beltway 8 interchange, the 288/FM 518 ramps, and the long stretches south of Manvel where fatigue and crosswinds put loaded trailers on their side in the ditch. Shoulders on 288 are wide enough to set the rotator on outriggers, but the toll-lane barriers change how we stage, and we plan the approach with the responding agency before the truck rolls.

Pearland, Manvel and Alvin also generate machinery work: tipped telehandlers and forklifts on the subdivision and commercial sites going up along Broadway and Shadow Creek, tractors and equipment stuck on ranch roads off FM 521, and buses and refuse trucks for the school districts and municipal fleets. Recovered units go to your shop, your dealer, or our TDLR-licensed storage facility in Sugar Land, twenty minutes up Highway 6.

Pearland questions

How long does it take a rotator to reach Pearland?

From Sugar Land the rotator runs Highway 6 or Beltway 8 to SH-288. Dispatch gives you a real ETA for your exact location when you call; the rotator is a heavy unit and we do not quote minutes we cannot deliver.

Do you go south of Pearland toward Freeport?

Yes. Manvel, Rosharon, Angleton, Lake Jackson, Clute and Freeport are regular runs for us, both for emergencies on SH-288 and for planned lifts and transfers at the plants and Port Freeport.

Can you handle a rolled tanker on SH-288?

Yes. We work the recovery portion alongside the fire department and a licensed environmental contractor for product on the ground, and we do not put a line on a loaded tank until the scene is cleared for the lift.
